been a while since I posted something here...or anywhere else....and there's a good chance it'll be another while before I post something else :)

I've been using and polishing this for a while now and so decided to upload it

GTK-Theme requires Clearlooks-, Murrine-, Pixmaps- and Aurora-Engine, and was at some point based on CleanLook so credits to hcalves!

Emerald theme is included too.

Cheers,
MAD

This theme makes me want to go through the trouble of installing Ubuntu just to use it.

Amazing work. :+fav:

Although I love the look of it, you've effectively reduced the functionality of the UI by making so many of the elements such a dark shade. The lack of contrast causes one to have to strain to see the differences in buttons and other objects.

I suggest making some slight modifications to ensure that the common user can benefit from the awesome styling you've developed here.

it works great for me on my monitor....been working with this for a while and didn't have to strain.
If it doesn't work for you tho...the colors are dynamically changeable from the gnome appearance dialog with just a few clicks ;)

Wow, nice! :3 If I just had a higher resolution and a bigger screen... Dark themes on 1024*768px screens aren't soo~ good. :/ Once I get a bigger one, I'll use it, for sure. :3 Nicely done! *fav*

How did you change the date into this custom thing? (or is it static?)

(and do you happen to know if this is possible under windows :blushes: :shh: ? )

most linux distributions include ddate by default....I'm just calling it with conky via $exec ddate, don't know if it exists for windows

Argh, it's moments like this that I wish I had a Linux. Perhaps on my next computer. I'm sick of Microsoft, and I'll never be able to afford a Mac.

Ubuntu doesn't require you to burn anything, there is an installer that works from within Windows ;)

Thanks! Problem is, I don't even have 2GB left on my harddrive to use both XP and Ubuntu.

Oh, and do you know anything about Ubuntu Studio?

Ubuntu Studio is just Ubuntu, with a different theme by default. It also comes with a few extra default applications, although I don't know which ones exactly. There is absolutely no reason to get it, you can get everything from Studio on normal Ubuntu too.

Nono, you can install it on your computer and start it instead of Windows. BUT, you can't access your files saved on windows.
Send a note to =Nenesta and ask, she knows all about that.
