Please note: Linux is not generally this minimalist. It looks however you want it to, however, most features are for functionality, removing them kind of just handicaps you unless you don't mind setting hotkeys for every single feature in your programs (yes you can do that in Linux) or living in the terminal. I don't have anything against Linux, I love it, and actually use it as my primary OS, however, I'm starting to get weary of attracting people to it with looks alone. It's better than windows in nearly every way, so looks are really just a minor reason to switch.

Aber die Icon Sache is doch noch einer Frage würdig. Hast du für firefox z.B. das globale Icon geändert? Ich hab es mal versucht für audacious hat aber nich gefunzt. Wenn ja in welchem Pfad liegen dann deine Icons für die Taskbar?

Haste vllt auch schon mal das von lyrae vorgeschlagene BMPanel getestet?

das firefox icon ist in /usr/share/firefox/chrome/icons
terminalicon kannst du in den terminal einstellungen ändern, andre icons wie pidgin zum beispiel sind in /usr/share/pixmaps und der rest ändert sich durch das icon theme ...das audacious icon befindet sich in /usr/share/audacios/images

You can actually do it by setting custom icon sets. What distro do you use? If it's Ubuntu or OpenSuSe I can tell you how.
